Gardaí investigating the murder of Stephen Byrne in Dublin yesterday evening say his killer arrived and left the scene on a bicycle.
The 32-year-old was shot a number of times in the head and body near his home in Sheriff Street at around 4.45pm.
A man in his late 20s and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested and are being questioned in connection with the murder.
They are being questioned at Store Street Garda Station.
Mr Byrne was standing on the corner near St Laurence's Church with three other people who ran off as the lone gunman approached.
He was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post mortem examination will be carried out today. The death is the 17th gun murder so far this year.
Gardaí believe a number of other men could have been in the area at the time, watching or involved in some other way.
Detectives believe the shooting is connected to an ongoing feud in Dublin's north inner-city, which has so far claimed five lives.
Gardaí are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and searches and say there is a community police unit working full-time in Sheriff Street.
They are still trying to establish the escape route the gunman took and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
