The Supreme Court has dismissed an attempt by a Nigerian woman to appeal her deportation.
Pamela Izevbekhai was seeking to appeal the decision by the Minister for Justice to deport her and her two daughters to Nigeria.
Her lawyers argued that a new EU directive allowed the minister to review her case, which centres on the risk she claims her daughters face from female genital mutilation if returned to Nigeria.
Her lawyers said afterwards that Ms Izevbekhai would now examine all the options left open to her, including a possible appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
Friends of Pamela Izevbekhai say she is very upset by this morning's judgment.
They say although she was prepared for a negative outcome, she is still disappointed by today's developments.
Campaigners Residents Against Racism say they are hopeful that a stay on Ms Izevbekhai's deportation will remain in place as her case to European Court of Human Rights continues.
