A woman who says her mother and her former husband killed her father 23 years ago has said she does not remember telling a doctor in 1985 that her father was violent and suffered from hallucinations and delusions.

Veronica McGrath was giving evidence in the trial of Vera McGrath and Colin Pinder who deny the murder of Bernard Brian McGrath in March or April 1987.

The woman was cross-examined by lawyers for her mother and her former husband and became very upset at times.

She told lawyers for Mr Pinder she could not remember what led to her father being committed to St Loman's Psychiatric Hospital in 1985.

The court heard she could not remember having bruising as a result of violence from her father.

Veronica McGrath said she did not tell the doctor that her father was violent over everyday events.

Earlier, under questioning from lawyers for her mother, she said she had not concealed any reasons she had to dislike her father.

The court heard she did not agree that she was calculating and manipulative or that she was more than an innocent witness to her father's death.

Veronica McGrath said she did not remember Mr Pinder telling her at the end of the evening that he had done it all for her. She said she was still haunted by the events of that night.

The trial continues at the Central Criminal Court.
