Six One News: Ailbhe Conneely reports a 27-year-old is understood to have been stabbed by another man in the Glen area of the city
The body of the 27-year-old man was found after gardaí were called to a house in the Glen area at around 5.30am.
A post mortem has been carried at Waterford General Hospital.
It is understood the man was stabbed, but the results of the examination are not being released at this time.
The 22-year-old woman who was injured in the incident has left hospital following treatment for a stab wound to the leg.
