A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court to try a 43-year-old Dublin man charged with murdering his wife.
Brian Vickers has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 43-year-old Joan Vickers but guilty to her manslaughter on 20 April 2009 at their home on Shelmalier Road, East Wall.
The trial, which is expected to last a week, will begin on Thursday before a jury of five women and seven men.
