A new survey by AA Ireland shows that nearly 68% of motorists are opposed to a new €200 parking levy planned for Irish cities.

The results are based on a poll of over 1,500 drivers carried out by the AA last week.

The Government is planning to introduce a fee for any employee whose employer provides them with a parking space in the city centre.

The scheme is scheduled to be introduced initially in Dublin before the autumn.
