Police investigating the murder of leading loyalist Bobby Moffett on Friday have arrested two men.

A 31-year-old man was arrested earlier today and 25-year-old man was detained in the Belfast area this afternoon.

Mr Moffett was killed after he was shot in the head on Belfast's Shankill Road on Friday afternoon.

He had strong links to the UVF and was well-known in loyalist paramilitary circles.

He was shot dead by two gunmen in broad daylight in full view of shoppers and children.

It is understood the murder was linked to a personal dispute.

Police described the shooting as 'a cold-blooded, ruthless killing'.

Earlier, the PSNI released without charge a 49-year-old man they were questioning in connection with Mr Moffett's murder.
