The PSNI is investigating a suspected arson attack which damaged a number of commercial and business premises in east Belfast early today.
Police say wheelie bins at the rear of the properties off the Belmont Road were set alight at 4am.
The fire then spread to roof of the buildings causing extensive damage to the properties.
Police are also investigating a fire at a shop on the Beersbridge Road in east Belfast.
That fire severely damaged an eastern European food store.
Forensic officers have carried out a detailed examination of the burnt-out shell of the building in an attempt to establish the cause of the fire.
