A 19-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle road crash in the village of Hospital, Co Limerick, this morning.

The crash happened on the Limerick to Mitchelstown Road at around 5.20am.

A 20-year-old man was seriously injured and has been taken to Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

The R513 has re-opened after a forensic examination and all diversions have been lifted.

Separately, one of the two young men killed in a road crash in Co Donegal yesterday evening has been named locally as PJ Crerand from Kilmacrenan Road, Millford. He was 19 years of age.
