A man in his 70s has died following a two-vehicle collision on the N81 at Whitestown in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, this morning.
The crash between a van and a car happened at around 10.15am.
The driver of the car was taken to Naas General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the van, a man in his late 30s, was also taken to hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Meanwhile, a woman has died after a car crash on the main dual carriageway between Newtownards and Dundonald in Co Down.
Two cars collided at about 11.20am this moring at Quarry Corner.
The road has reopened after being closed for several hours after the crash.
The PSNI has appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them.
