A Garda, arrested on suspicion of disclosing information that led to Trevor Sargent's resignation, has been released.
She was arrested at Lucan Garda Station in Dublin yesterday.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Mr Sargent stepped down after it emerged he had written a number of letters to gardaí involved in prosecuting one of his constituents.
