Gardaí sealed off a house in south Dublin this morning following a pipe bomb explosion.
The device was thrown into a house in Whitechurch Place, Ballyboden, at 7.30am.
No one was injured, but a room in the house was damaged.
A spokesperson for the Defence Forces said a team arrived after the blast had taken place and carried out post-blast analysis to assist gardaí with their investigation.
