A 25-year-old man has died in hospital after he was assaulted in Co Louth on Sunday morning.
The man was assaulted in the Harbour Road area of Clogherhead between 1.15am and 2am on Sunday.
He died in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda at 2.30pm this afternoon.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them in Drogheda on 041-9874270 or in Clogherhead on 041-9822222.
