A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after she was assaulted in a Dublin flat last night.
Shortly after 11pm, gardaí said emergency services responded to a call in Blessington Street where a 38-year-old woman was found with injuries to her face and head.
She was taken to the Mater hospital and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
A man, who was also in the flat, was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown with injuries to his hands.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination.
