Woman dies, 18 injured as minibus overturns

A woman in her 40s has been killed and 18 others injured after a minibus overturned near Gorey, Co Wexford.

The injured passengers have been taken to Wexford General Hospital.

It is understood all passengers were An Post workers travelling to the Leopardstown races.

A short time after the crash, an ambulance responding to the accident overturned on an icy stretch of the the N11.

The road from Bray to Wexford is reported to be extremely dangerous at the moment because of ice.

There have been a number of other collisions and gardaí have appealed to motorists to avoid the area, where conditions are said to be treacherous.
