Shallow grave discovered in Wicklow

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Stephen O'Meara in Co Wicklow have discovered a body in a shallow grave.

Stephen O'Meara - Missing

It was found during a search by gardaí at Ballydonnell, Redcross at around 2.30pm.

26-year-old Mr O'Meara, from Rosehill, was last seen in Wicklow Town on 6 August.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

A man in his 20s who was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Stephen O'Meara on Monday remains in custody.
