Three men have been arrested after cocaine worth £5 million was seized in Belfast.
Officers from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch stopped two vehicles travelling along the Boucher road, a centre for the retail and motor trade in south Belfast, about two miles from the city centre.
Police arrested two men at the scene and recovered cocaine which has an estimated street value of £5 million (€5.62m) making it the biggest ever seizure by anti drugs officers in the North.
The two men, aged 38 and 47, are being questioned by detectives on suspicion of conspiring to supply Class A drugs.
Police later arrested a third man, aged 29, in the Corporation Square area of the city.
