Pedestrian killed in Dublin collision

A pedestrian has died after being hit while crossing the road in Dublin's south inner city.

The 24-year-old man was fatally injured when he was struck by two cars at Leonard's Corner at around 4.20am this morning.

His body has been removed to the city morgue where a post mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or for anyone who was in the area to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400.

The road at the scene of the crash has now re-opened.
