Seven people are being questioned in Waterford as part of an investigation into organised prostitution in the southeast.
Six women aged between 18 and 25 and a 49-year-old man were arrested following a search of a house in the city.
They are currently being detained at garda stations in Waterford city, Dungarvan and Tramore and can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardaí say the six women and the man arrested are from Europe.
