Cannabis seized in Hempstown
Wednesday, 4 November 2009 15:53Cannabis with a potential street value of €1 million was seized by gardaí and Revenue Customs Service officers in Hempstown, Co Wicklow, yesterday afternoon.
The drugs were discovered in a yard in the town.
The 100kg of herbal cannabis and cannabis resin had been transported from Holland to Dublin Port earlier, hidden in clothes and electrical lights.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit believe they were brought in by a south Dublin criminal gang.
