The HSE is urging pregnant women and new mothers - including those breastfeeding - to come forward for the swine flu vaccine.

The Health Service Executive is urging pregnant women and new mothers - including those breastfeeding - to come forward for the swine flu vaccine.

The Influenza A (H1N1) vaccination programme will officially start on 2 November but some GPs have already begun dispensing it.

So far nine people have died in the Republic from the virus.

The latest victim was a 14-year-old boy from the east of the country who died yesterday and who had an underlying medical condition.
