Gardaí in Limerick are investigating a stabbing on Dock Road overnight.
A man in his 20s is believed to have suffered a number of stab wounds when he was involved in an altercation with another man.
He was taken by ambulance to Limerick Regional Hospital where his condition is described as stable.
One man in his teens was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
