Police in Northern Ireland investigating the murders of two British soldiers outside a military base in Antrim in March have released a 43-year-old man without charge.

He was arrested in west Belfast yesterday morning.

Sappers Patrick Azimkar and Mark Quinsey were shot dead and five other people were injured in the Real IRA attack at Massereene Barracks.

Leading dissident republican Colin Duffy, 41, from Lurgan, Co Armagh, has already been charged with the murder.

A second man, cystic fibrosis sufferer Brian Shivers, 44, from Magherafelt, Co Derry, has also been charged with the killings. He was granted bail because of his condition.

The soldiers were the first to be murdered in Northern Ireland in 12 years.
