Electricity prices in Northern Ireland are to drop by 5%.
The reduction follows an 11% drop in electricity tariffs at the start of the year.
The energy price cut follows the reduction in gas prices, which was announced last week.
Phoenix Gas, which supplies the bulk of gas customers in Northern Ireland, cut its prices by 19%.
Firmus, which supplies gas to ten towns, reduced its rates by 18%.
NIE Energy managing director Stephen McCully said: 'We know a lot of household budgets are tight at the moment, so we are pleased to be able to cut prices for the second time this year.'
