A 24 year-old man has been shot in both legs in an attack in Derry.
Police said a number of masked men forced their way into his house at Carrickreagh Gardens in the Creggan area of the city shortly before midnight last night.
They took the man from an upstairs bedroom into the living room where he was attacked. He was shot in the knees and ankles.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The PSNI has appealed for information.
