Two men have appeared before the Bridewell District Court in connection with a shooting in Clondalkin on Saturday morning.
Walter Jacob, 23, of Old Church Crescent, Clondalkin, and 20-year-old Daniel Fitzpatrick of Castle Grange Square, Clondalkin, appeared before Judge John O'Neill this morning.
A number of shots were fired at the windows of a house in Lealand Avenue at around 2am on the 8 August.
The incident happened shortly after Pierce Reid was shot dead nearby at Lealand Close.
Garda Colm Treacy told the court he arrested Mr Jacob at 11.05pm on Saturday night at Clondalkin Garda Station.
Mr Jacob was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm with the intent to endanger life.
Garda David Leonard told the court he arrested Mr Fitzpatrick in Ballyfermot on Saturday night last at 11.55pm and charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm with the intent to endanger life.
Mr Jacob and Mr Fitzpatrick were in court for the short hearing.
They were remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on 14 August at 10.30am.
