A 24-year-old man has appeared at a special sitting of the District Court in Ennis charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Kilrush.
Brendan O' Sullivan of 10 O'Gorman St, Kilrush, was charged with murdering Leslie Kenny at O'Gorman Street on 29 July.
He was granted Free Legal Aid and remanded in custody to appear at court again at Ennis on 3 August.
His solicitor, Eugene O'Kelly, said they would be making an application to the High Court for bail.
