A convicted sex offender who was on the run in Northern Ireland has been detained in Co Wicklow.
Paul Hunter Redpath, who was convicted of sex offences against two young girls, was detained by gardaí this morning.
He will now be subject to sex offender registration requirements in the Republic.
It was the second time that Redpath had gone on the run. In 2006, he was discovered living in north Dublin.
Barnardos and the ISPCC expressed alarm that Redpath had gone on the run for a second time.
