Gardaí have carried out house-to-house enquiries in the area around St Mary's Avenue, Ballyfermot, today as part of the investigation into the murder of Anthony Cannon.
A post mortem examination was due to be carried out today.
The 26-year-old was shot dead at around 3.30pm yesterday by a gunman who fled on a motorcycle.
Mr Cannon was wearing a bullet-proof vest at the time of the gun attack.
