A woman has been airlifted to hospital after the light aircraft in which she was travelling, crash-landed in a field in Co Fermanagh.
Both she and her husband, who was the pilot of the plane, are from Co Galway.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash in a field close to Lettermoney near Enniskillen shortly before 2.30pm this afternoon.
Police say that the pilot, who is in his 60s, did not sustain any serious injuries.
His wife, who is also aged in her 60s, was airlifted to the Erne hospital. She had to be cut from the plane although her injuries are not said to be life threatening.
The couple were thought to be travelling from Prestwick in Scotland to Galway and were due to stop off at the St Angelo airfield in Enniskillen when they got into difficulties.
The PSNI say that the relevant air accident investigation authority will be informed.
