A man has been charged in connection with the murder of Ann Corcoran in west Cork earlier this year.
49-year-old Oliver Hayes, with an address on Clancool Terrace, Bandon, Co Cork, appeared before the District Court in the town this afternoon charged with the murder of the 60-year-old at a location in west Cork between the 19 and 23 of January.
Mr Hayes is already charged with the false imprisonment of Anne Corcoran, who was a widow, on dates between the 19 and 21 of January 2009.
Judge James McNulty remanded him in continuing custody to appear again before the District Court in Kinsale on 7 May.
