Seven people, questioned over the murder of Shane Geoghegan last November, have been released without charge.
The 28-year-old was shot dead in an apparent case of mistaken identity near his home in Dooradoyle, Co Limerick, on 9 November.
Eight people remain in custody and are being held at a number of different garda stations.
Gardaí say investigations in the murder are continuing.
