A 28-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with making threats to kill, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and handling stolen goods.
The charges relate to an attempted armed robbery on Friday outside the Park shopping centre in the Donegall Road area of West Belfast.
A Taser stun gun was fired by the police during the incident, which is being investigated by the Police Ombudsman.
It was only the second time a Taser has been used by the PSNI.
