A man in his 60s has been found by members of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team following a search in the McGillycuddy Reeks.
The search operation began this morning.
The man, who is believed to be English, set out on a night walk of the Reeks yesterday and left a detailed map of the route he intended to take with the hotel where he was staying.
He began his walk at Kate Kearney's Cottage in the Gap of Dunloe and texted staff at the hotel at 9.20pm to say he was at an area known locally as the Big Gun.
After he failed to make any further contact, the search operation was launched.
The search team located the man near Cnoc Mór at around 3.30 this afternoon.
He had spent the night on the mountains in conditions which were described as very wet and windy.
He is said to be disorientated and weak but otherwise ok.
