Two young men have died in separate road traffic collisions in counties Wexford and Mayo.
One man died when his car collided with a wall at Newbawn, Co Wexford last night.
The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at shortly before 9pm and was taken to Wexford General Hospital.
One of the two passengers was treated for injuries at the hospital, the other did not require medical attention.
Hours later in Mayo another young man was killed when the car he was driving collided with a tree.
The accident happened at Bunnyconnelan near Ballina before 1am this morning.
The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and removed to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
The road is closed for forensic examination and diversions are in place.
