A retired Co Tyrone teacher who admitted indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl has been given a six months sentence, suspended for three years.
The offences, which involved inappropriate kissing, took place between January and Decenber 2005.
70-year-old Domnic McElholm, from Killyclogher, Co Tyrone is a former chairman of the Western education and Library Board, and was a primary school headmaster in Omagh.
He had previously denied 10 charges, but changed his plea to guilty on three of the counts.
His lawyer told the court he had made a big contribution to the community and his reputation was now completely devastated.
