A new breast cancer drug, developed in trials on Irish women, is being launched in Cork.

A new breast cancer drug, developed in trials on Irish women, is being launched in Cork.

Lapatinib targets a specific type of cancer which accounts for more than a quarter of all breast cancers.

It is prescribed for women with advanced cases of the disease who have exhausted all other therapeutic options.
