A search is under way for an 82-year-old Irish woman who has been missing for three days in northern Italy.
Mairead Geary from Limerick travelled to the town of Stresa with an Irish tour group last Tuesday.
She was last seen at lunchtime on Friday when she said she was taking a cable car up to a viewing point on nearby Mount Mottarone.
The alarm was raised when she did not return for dinner on Friday evening. Italian authorities have been searching for Mrs Geary since then.
It is understood that members of her family travelled out to Italy yesterday.
