A man has been remanded in custody at Waterford District Court charged in connection with the shooting of a teenager at Bilberry halting site nearly two weeks ago.
27-year-old Patrick Stokes of Ardmore Park in Ballybeg was charged with assault causing harm to 16-year-old Bridget Delaney and with the possession of a firearm.
Judge William Earley was told that gardaí in Waterford had not yet received directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions on the matter.
Mr Stokes was further remanded in custody to appear at the court again on 2 October.
