A 22 year-old man who pleaded guilty to smuggling over 231g of cocaine into Northern Ireland has been sentenced at Antrim Crown Court to 30 months in prison, plus 18 months' probation.
Thomas John Doyle of no fixed abode was detained by Customs officers in September 2007 when he arrived at Belfast International Airport on a flight from Amsterdam.
The cocaine, which had a street value of about €60,000, was concealed in his baggage.
The probation period will be served in England.
