A man was injured in a suspected shooting in Dublin last night.
Gardaí on patrol found a man lying on the footpath at West Road in East Wall at around 10pm.
The victim, who is in his early 20s and from the locality, had injuries to his lower right leg.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital; his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Gardaí are investigating the possibility that a handgun was used in the shooting.
The area has been sealed off for forensic examination.
