A man in his 40s has been killed and another is in a serious condition following a shooting at a pub in Finglas.
The incident happened at the Jolly Toper pub on Church Street shortly after 7pm.
It is understood two men armed with handguns entered an upstairs room in the Jolly Toper and singled out two men who were drinking in pub at the time.
Both victims were shot a number of times and taken to the Mater Hospital, where one died a short time later.
The second man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It is understood the man who died was known to gardaí.
The scene has been preserved and a forensic examination is being carried out.
