An investigation is under way following a fatal road accident involving a collision with a garda car in Meath yesterday.

A 21-year-old man was killed when his motor bike collided with a garda car near Kells at about 6pm. He was taken to Navan General Hospital, where he died later.

Garda Síochana Ombudsman Commission has commenced an investigation having had the incident referred to it by the Gardaí under section 102 of the Garda Síochana Act 2005.
