A 14-year-old boy has sufffered gunshot wounds following a shooting in Waterford.
Gardaí say they are still investigating the incident.
However it is understood a number of shots were fired at a house in the Ardmore Park estate at around 3pm this afternoon.
The boy suffered gunshot wounds and was admitted to Waterford Regional Hospital but his condition is described as stable.
A burned-out vehicle was found around 5km from the scene and gardaí say they are investigating whether this is linked to the incident.
