A man and a woman have been arrested by gardaí investigating a shooting incident in Darndale in Dublin yesterday evening.
A man in his 20s is in a critical but stable condition at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin following the shooting.
The man received a gunshot wound to the neck.
The shooting happened at Buttercup Park shortly after 7pm yesterday. The man was sitting in a car when a gunman approached and fired.
A small child was in the car at the time, but was not physically injured.
Gardaí arrested the 24-year-old at 11am this morning in the Coolock area and is being held at Coolock Garda Station.
A 22-year-old female was later arrested and is being detained at Malahide Garda Station.
