A second Garda investigating illegal drugs in Galway city has been attacked by pit bull terriers.
The officer was not seriously injured and the dogs have been put down.
Two days ago another Garda was attacked by the dogs during a drugs seizure in the Claddagh area of the city.
The garda underwent surgery yesterday and is said recovering in hospital.
