Man injured in Derry shooting

A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was shot in the leg in the Creggan area of Derry.

The man suffered an injury to his thigh, but managed to escape and raise the alarm.

The PSNI say the attack happened around 8.30pm but a motive has yet to be established.

Investigators have appealed for anyone with information to contact police.
