A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The charge relates to the shooting of a 28-year-old man in Coalisland, Co Tyrone in the early hours of Sunday morning last.
He is due to appear before Strabane Magistrate's Court tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old who was arrested in connection with the murder of a Derry man last year has been released without charge.
28-year-old Brian McGlynn was killed in the Fountain Hill area of Derry in June 2007.
The man was arrested in Derry early yesterday morning.
