Gardaí in Cork are questioning a man following two drug seizures in which ecstasy tablets with an estimated value of more than €200,000 were recovered.
The man was stopped by members of the Cork Divisional Drugs Squad when he was driving his car in the Gurranabraher area of the city.
A small quantity of ecstasy tablets were found in the car.
In a follow-up search of a house in Farranree in the city, a further 20,000 ecstasy tablets were seized.
The man, who is in his late 20s, is being detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station under drugs trafficking legislation.
