Cyclist dead in Cabra collision

A 52-year-old woman has been killed in a road accident in Cabra in Dublin.

A 52-year-old woman has been killed in a road accident in Cabra in Dublin.

Her bicycle was in collision with a truck on the Nephin Road at about midday.

The road was closed from the N3/Navan Road to the Boogeys Road. Delays should be expected.

Yesterday evening, a 12-year-old girl died in a collision in Co Mayo.

The crash happened at Old Head near Louisburgh, Westport at around 5pm yesterday evening.

It is believed the girl was a back seat passenger in the vehicle.

She was removed to Mayo General Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

A 10-year-old girl who was also a passenger in the car remains in a serious condition at the hospital.

In a third incident, the N8 Dublin to Cork Road was closed between Urlingford and Johnstown following a collision between a truck and a car last night.

Three people were injured in the accident and were taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.

The accident happened just after 11.30pm last night.
